Windows 7: Gadgets not working with UAC off.
You've disabled UAC, and your gadgets have stopped working. Coincidence, I think not!

Sounds complicated? Follow this step-by-step guide:
- Click on the start bar, and run "regedit".
- Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Sidebar\Settings". It's a long way in!
- Edit "AllowElevatedProcess" by double clicking on it. Change it's value to 1. Go to step 4!
- If the "Settings" folder didn't exist, right click on "Sidebar" and create a new "key".
- Now in the "Settings" folder/key, create a new DWORD (32-bit value) named "AllowElevatedProcess" and give it a value of 1.
- Relogin or restart your computer and your gadgets should work again!
