You've disabled UAC, and your gadgets have stopped working. Coincidence, I think not!
Fixing it requires you to add a small item into to your system registry.

Sounds complicated? Follow this step-by-step guide:

1. Click on the start bar, and run "regedit".
   
2. Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Sidebar\Settings". It's a long way in!
   
3. Edit "AllowElevatedProcess" by double clicking on it. Change it's value to 1. Go to step 4!
   
1. If the "Settings" folder didn't exist, right click on "Sidebar" and create a new "key".
2. Now in the "Settings" folder/key, create a new DWORD (32-bit value) named "AllowElevatedProcess" and give it a value of 1.
4. Relogin or restart your computer and your gadgets should work again!
